Join us for the adventure of a lifetime! This March, our group will travel to one of China’s sacred mountains for a cultivation retreat that is sure to inspire, expand, and invigorate your life and your practice.
Thomas Leichardt will lead a group of adventurers to Qingcheng mountain, a magical place where the inner and outer journey culminate in powerful transformation and change. Heart felt explorations of inner alchemy practices, along with the splendid luscious beauty of the mountain’s terrain will carry each participant to new heights and depths of self awareness and inner alignment.
Qingcheng mountain is one of the sacred mountains of China, a cradle of Daoist philosophy and cultivation. Special opportunity to cultivate and reflect in this environment will provide the perfect backdrop for a deep and joyous journey into the heart of Daoist practices, as well as the joyful expression of our own true nature.
Thomas will lead qigong sessions, and Master Zhang, when available, will lead meditations and Daoist cultivation practices. Afternoons will be free to explore the mountain’s many temples, trails, and magical places.
This trip will count for 32 hours in the new Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT) certificarte.
Includes: travel from Cheng Du airport to the mountain, all meals and accommodations on the mountain, instruction, translation, organization, and gate entrance fees. We will have two participants to a room, unless you specify you want a single room for an additional cost of $400. You are of course welcome to choose your roommate ahead of time.
Does not include: travel to Cheng Du, Chinese visa, nor shopping on the mountain.
Optional Pre-trip Hiking:
Optional local hikes with the instructor before the trip will help us condition our body for the mountains in China. These hikes will also be an excellent time for group bonding and socializing, and to create group cohesion before the trip. It is encouraged to join these hikes, or to hike on your own to condition your body, as many beautiful temples and natural places require uphill hiking.
